Hi, I'm Neil Adams and I would like to welcome you to my academy. We have created four ways in which we can work together 'on-line': 1 You can join my Training Club and access the following facilities on a regular basis
2 You can submit a video - I analyse what you are doing and send you my comments on the content in writing 3 I create a video response - if the analysis indicates that there is a problem which can only be solved by demonstration...then I will send you/put on to my academy, a video of me performing the move to show you how it should be done and tell you what you need to do to be able to perform the move yourself 4 Take one or more of our standard lessons. An outline of one of these lessons is given below THE BASICS (lesson preview) In this lesson we are looking at standing techniques, and how to use drills to create an all important foundation. These basic drills will help to build a good base that can be used with all techniques. We so often hear that ” practice makes perfect, “ actually it doesn’t, "it makes for permanent". In this lesson we are laying down the basic mechanics, to help you ensure that permanent is as perfect as possibleUchikomi drills performed well with a partner will allow you to hone your muscle memory. Muscle memory is important in competition and good muscle memory will give you an edge over your competitor. The drills shown in these lessons should be practised regularly to engrain movement and actions as perfectly as possible We then put these movements into realistic situations ie: 60% resistance with a co operative partner working your way up to full fighting or randori (free fighting). These skills are learned so that one can be adaptable. Drills make it so that the movement becomes second nature, and that the reaction is as positive as it can be. JUDO IS FAST PACED CHESS. You must always think several moves ahead. Knowing that your muscle reactions are in tune with your head, and knowing the movements that must be made to be successful over your opponent...ARE THE MAJOR KEYS TO WINNING A CONTEST.
The first lesson you can buy on-line is called 'Balance & Control' |
